Hero Siege Season 10 Guide: Ebontharn Changes, Act 9 and New Systems
Season 10 Ebontharn explained: Act 9, three new Uber bosses, the Ether Tree expansion, talent rework, Relic Storage and the reworked market.
What Is Season 10 “Ebontharn”?
Season 10 is Hero Siege’s current seasonal league, launched on August 21, 2026. It is one of the biggest updates the game has received: a full new act, a wave of balance changes, two large passive-tree expansions, and quality-of-life systems that change how you store and trade loot. If you are returning after a break — even a break of a year or two — nearly every endgame system you remember has been touched.
Act 9: the New Campaign Content
Ebontharn adds Act 9, a new story zone with its own enemy sets and a final boss. For league starters this is straightforward: you will meet Act 9 content as you push through the campaign on higher difficulties. The act also feeds the season’s theme and lore around the Ebontharn region.
If you want a preview of what waits at the end of the new act, community footage of the Act 9 final boss fights is already widely available — the Cthulhu-style Act 9 boss has become one of the season’s signature fights.
Three New Uber Bosses
Season 10 adds three new Uber bosses, joining the existing roster of endgame superbosses (the classic trio of Damien, Reaper, and Sung Lee from earlier seasons, plus the Gabriel, Amun Ra, and Luna fights introduced more recently). Uber fights are where the game’s hardest mechanical checks live, and they drop some of the most coveted loot in the game.
Our full Uber bosses guide covers the known fight patterns and what the community has learned about the new encounters so far. Expect these to be gated behind the usual endgame preparation: a solid build, maxed seasonal systems, and Inferno difficulty.
Ether Tree Expansion: Over 100 New Nodes
The Ether Tree — the seasonal progression system that customizes your runs — received more than 100 new nodes this season. The practical effect: your run modifiers are far more expressive than in Season 9, and choosing which branches to follow is now a genuine build decision rather than a formality.
Key points for your first week:
- Ether Quests remain the main way to earn Ether and unlock nodes — DonTheCrown’s community guide and our own Ether Tree guide both walk through the quest loop.
- Certain nodes (like the Treasure Chest and Presence of Evil chance nodes) were buffed in the 7.0.x patches and are widely regarded as strong early picks.
- “Ether tree strats” — deliberately following specific node paths for farming efficiency — have become a core part of the season economy.
Talent Tree Expansion
Alongside the Ether Tree, the per-class talent trees received a massive expansion — over 600 new nodes were reported at season launch, on top of the reworks several classes received. If your class feels different this season, it probably is: check our Season 10 class tier list for a community read on which classes came out ahead.
The long-game counterpart is the Incarnation Tree from Season 9 — a 1,600+ node passive tree that unlocks at level 100 — which carries into this season’s endgame.
Relic Storage and the Reworked Market
Two quality-of-life changes round out the season:
- Relic Storage — relics (the account-wide buff items you level up through play) can now be stored and managed more cleanly instead of cluttering inventories. Our relic notes in the uniques overview cover how relics fit into your progression.
- The market is reworked — Hero Siege’s player trading hub received its biggest overhaul in years, and it changes how you should think about gear acquisition. See our market and trading guide for how the new system works in practice.
What to Do First: a Season 10 Checklist
- Start a league-starter class from our starter builds page — the classes the community converged on for fast, safe first weeks.
- Clear the campaign and push difficulties, unlocking Act 9 content on the way.
- Engage Ether Quests early — the Ether Tree is this season’s power engine.
- Hit 100, then open the Incarnation Tree and start the long grind.
- Take your first Uber boss attempts once your build has its core items.
- Use the reworked market to fill gear gaps rather than grinding every drop yourself.
FAQ

Do my Season 9 characters carry over? Seasonal characters roll over into the standard (non-seasonal) pool when a season ends, but seasonal systems reset. Check the official season rollover announcements for exact dates.
