FAQ

How many unique items are in Hero Siege?
The game advertises over 1,000 unique items, spanning handmade Satanic, Set, Heroic, Angelic and Unholy tiers alongside random-affix loot. Season 10 added 24 more uniques with the Ebontharn launch.
What is the best rarity in Hero Siege?
Unholy and Angelic uniques sit at the top of the handmade unique tiers and are the game's most coveted drops. Community content around 'first Angelic' milestones reflects how rare and impactful they are.
What are rune words in Hero Siege?
Rune words are powerful crafted item combinations made by socketing specific runes in a specific order — a system familiar to Diablo players. They are one of the main ways to target specific build power rather than relying on random drops.

The Loot Landscape

Hero Siege’s itemization has two halves. The first is random-affix gear — the loot you vacuum up by the stack, whose random stat rolls make every drop a small lottery. The second is the handmade unique pool: over 1,000 designed items with names, fixed identities and build-defining powers, spanning tiers that include Satanic, Set, Heroic, Angelic and Unholy. Season 10 added another 24 uniques with the Ebontharn launch.

Uniques are the game’s real character sheet. Two players of the same class can be playing completely different games depending on their unique selections — which is why our tier list and starter builds pages talk about item dependencies as much as skills.

The Rarity and Tier Ladder

From the ground up:

  1. Common → Magic → Rare style random gear. The leveling backbone. Equip upgrades freely; this layer stops mattering at endgame.
  2. Satanic-tier uniques. The workhorse unique tier — many builds’ mid-game anchors are Satanic items, and they remain relevant deep into the season.
  3. Set items. Themed pieces with set bonuses; niche builds cohere around specific sets.
  4. Heroic and Angelic uniques. The top of the realistic chase ladder. Angelic items in particular carry community weight — “getting your first Angelic” is a season milestone with its own dedicated guides and videos.
  5. Unholy uniques. The rarest documented tier, the kind of drop that defines an account.

Exact drop mechanics — rates, sources, pity systems if any — are the least-published part of the game. Community understanding of them is observational; treat confident numbers with suspicion.

Rune Words: Targeted Power

Rune words are the Diablo-inspired crafting layer: socket the right runes, in the right order, into the right base, and the combination produces a fixed powerful result. They matter because they are targeted — where unique hunting is a lottery, a rune word is a shopping list. If your build’s known endgame form includes a specific rune word, your farming and market strategy becomes “collect the runes” rather than “pray for the drop.”

Relics and Relic Storage

Relics are the account-progression layer of itemization: collectible items that grant persistent bonuses and level up with play. Season 10 finally added Relic Storage, cleaning up what had been a chronic inventory-management complaint, and several community guides cover efficient relic leveling. Relics are not glamorous — they are the quiet, permanent layer underneath every build, and they compound across your whole season.

Your First-Uniques Strategy (Season 10)

  1. Week 1: equip, don’t chase. While leveling and pushing difficulties, random gear upgrades are your items page. The unique hunt starts at endgame.
  2. Learn your build’s dependencies. Whether from a starter build guide or community videos, name the 2-4 items your build actually wants. Everything else is vendor fodder or market inventory.
  3. Split farming between drop sources and gold. Ubers, deep wormholes and Codex-style content are the headline sources; the market is the guaranteed one. Fund one with the other.
  4. Save the top-tier chase for a proven build. Angelic and Unholy hunting is what you do once the Incarnation Tree and talents are filling in — the same farm that earns them also earns everything else you need.

FAQ

I found a unique I don’t understand — keep or sell? Check what it does against your build’s dependencies. If it serves none, the market price tells you its real value to someone else.

Are old-season uniques still obtainable? Most of the unique pool persists across seasons; seasonal content introduces additions on top. Verify specific items in-game, as sources shift between patches.

What is “itemization drift”? The slow change in which items are optimal as balance patches land. Season 10’s 24 new uniques and class reworks shifted several build cores — another reason week-1 build guides get revised.

Is there crafting for random gear? Yes — upgrading and crafting systems exist alongside rune words; Sleepy Cat’s Season 10 crafting walkthrough covers the current interface.
